Composite Intake Filters - Innovative Design, Extra Durable.
Watertronics composite filters protect pump stations against
damage from debris and protect the pump from becoming
clogged and losing suction. Filters can be used for vertical turbine,
horizontal centrifugal and submersible pump stations.
Durable and Lightweight
Composite materials that are used for the filter body are
durable and light-weight at the same time. The filters are
extremely wear resistant and non-corrosive yielding an
extended life cycle over traditional screens.
Easy Installation / Removal
Many of the composite screens can be installed by one or two
individuals, eliminating the need for costly heavy equipment.
The quick release tensioning system allow for easy installation
and requires minimal labor for removal for service and maintenance.
Superior coating
The Watertronics static filtration system is coated with an algae
growth-inhibiting material that contains the latest in PTFE technology. This minimizes build up of organics on the screen effecting overall performance and decreasing filter maintainance.
Discharge Filtration Systems for Pump Stations
Pump stations can be equipped with a filtration system to assure a clean water supply to the irrigation system. The filtration often consists of individual barrels containing removable filter elements. The number of barrels, the specific filter model number and filter screen micron rating are determined in the technical specification. Each removable filter element consists of a course screen in series with a fine screen. The fine screen is flushed periodically to remove accumulated debris.
Flushing action is initiated by an electronically actuated butterfly valve. The Electric Butterfly Valve (EBV) is impervious to dirty water vs. a hydraulic diaphragm valve susceptible to damage due to the filtered particles being flushed. To assure tolerance to dirty water, the electric butterfly valve opens/closes at a programmed rate to eliminate excessive pressure drop or pressure spike.

Lightweight screens allow the units to be installed without the use of heavy equipment.

No matter the type or size, Watertronics will specify the best filtration solution to meet your needs.
